Most common procedures for Junior Medical Officers working in a hospital setting. Workshop involves tutorials and hands on practice on models in state of the art skills lab at Wollongong Hospital (Illawarra Shoalhaven Hospitals Skills Centre) . 8 hours CPD certificate to all participants 

Airway Management Procedures

• Oxygen delivery methods 

• LMA / Nasal high flow 

• Non Invasive ventilation (BiPAP & CPAP) 

• Laryngeal mask airway (LMA) 

Circulation Procedures

• Intravenous cannulation 

• Ultrasound guided cannulation 

• Intraosseous needle insertion 

Common Procedures

• Lumbar puncture and CSF pressure monitoring with sampling 

• Nasogastric tube insertion 

• Vaginal speculum examination 

• Indwelling urinary catheter insertion 

• Wound Management (Suturing and glue application)

** All Clinical Observership 2025 February and April participants from Sydney and Melbourne are allowed to attend this workshop free of cost and will be sent confirmation tickets closer to the date of workshop.
